Artistry in Action

Eric Lu was catapulted into piano stardom by winning the Leeds International Piano Competition in 2018 at the age of 20. In this Piano Masters Series recital, he will play Schumann’s Arabeske, Schubert’s Four Impromptus, D.935, and Chopin’s Sonata No. 3.

Acclaimed pianist Eric Lu presents a master class, working with three Boston Conservatory at Berklee piano students. This event is free and open to the public.

Baroque cellist Phoebe Carrai is a distinguished music educator and a longtime member of Musica Antiqua Köln, with over 40 recordings for Deutsche Gramophone. Carrai will present a program or works of J.S. Bach, Dall’Abaco, and Kummer.

Hailed for his ability to translate stories of American self-determination to the concert stage, six-time Grammy-nominated violinist and composer Curtis Stewart presents a recital of celebrated and original works as part of the String Masters Series.

American pianist Sean Chen achieved international celebrity in 2013, after receiving the Bronze Medal at the Cliburn International Competition and winning the American Piano Award.

Acclaimed violist Michael Casimir joins Boston Conservatory’s String Masters Series along with frequent guest pianist Tae Kim, to offer an exciting recital of works for viola and piano.

American pianist Terrence Wilson enjoys an active international concert career. A Grammy nominee and recipient of the Avery Fisher Grant, he has performed with the National Symphony as well as the symphony orchestras of Atlanta, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, San Francisco, and St. Louis, and the orchestras of Cleveland, Minnesota, and Philadelphia, as well as at the Verbier Festival and Lincoln Center.
