Boston Conservatory at Berklee to Present Fall Dance Concert: From the Ground Up

Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s fall Center Stage season continues with an annual tradition highlighting sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the Conservatory’s contemporary dance BFA program. Fall Dance Concert: From the Ground Up will take place at Boston Conservatory Theater from Thursday, October 16 through Sunday, October 19. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on October 16 through 18, and 2:00 p.m. on October 18 and 19.
From the Ground Up will showcase an original program of six stylistically diverse world premieres created by guest choreographers and Boston Conservatory dance faculty members. Featured guest artists include Nicole von Arx, a globally acclaimed dance artist and teacher; Catherine Coury, cofounder and codirector of the Spanish dance company Marcat Dance; William Isaac, an award-winning choreographer and dancer who serves as the founder and artistic director of Kymera Dance; and Omar Román de Jesús, the Puerto Rican choreographer and artistic director of BOCA TUYA. Boston Conservatory dance faculty members will premiere two new works, one by Ruka White and another by Daniel Pelzig and Gianni Di Marco.
“From the Ground Up is a beloved Dance Division tradition here at the Conservatory, highlighting all of our sophomore, junior, and senior contemporary dance majors as they perform the works of renowned guest artists and faculty members,” said Tommy Neblett, dean of dance for Boston Conservatory at Berklee and artistic director of From the Ground Up. “We are thrilled to be presenting six incredible works at this year’s concert, which will be a fantastic showcase of dance innovation and talent.”
Fall Dance Concert: From the Ground Up will take place at Boston Conservatory Theater, located at 31 Hemenway Street in Boston, Massachusetts, at 7:30 p.m. from Thursday, October 16 through Saturday, October 18, and at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19. Tickets are $43.50 to $48.50 for regular seating; and $33.50 to $38.50 for seniors, non-Berklee students, and Conservatory alumni. View additional events in Boston Conservatory’s Center Stage season.
